David is a New York City based director, choreographer, performer & teacher. His career began when he played Mark on the National Tour of A Chorus Line under the direction of Tony Award Recipient, Baayork Lee. He went on to reprise his role at New York City Center, directed by two-time Tony Award Winner Bob Avian. Baayork then promoted David to her associate for the China Premier of A Chorus Line, training him to keep Michael Bennett’s legacy alive in re-staging the original. In 2022 David staged his own company of A Chorus Line at Weathervane Theatre.

In addition to A Chorus Line, David & Baayork work together at City Springs Theatre Company, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, & Starlight Kanas City putting their own spin on classics like Disney’s Beauty and the BeastSouth PacificWest Side Story, and Cats.

In 2023 David won Outstanding Choreography at the NH Theatre Alliance Awards for his work on Guys and Dolls at Weathervane Theatre. David choreographed The Light in the Piazza directed by Tony Award Winner, Victoria Clark at the Sheen Center. Other Credits Include: Beauty and the Beast (National Tour), A Chorus Line (Japan Tour), Walt Disney World, and Universal Orlando.

He is a graduate of Pace University’s Musical Theatre Program with a Minor in Dance. He is on faculty at Broadway Dance Center. He is thrilled to work with the MTCA students as they grow in skill, confidence, and join the next generation of musical theatre performers.
