Kate MacCluggage is a former New Englander, now based in Brooklyn, NY. New York Theatre includes: The Farnsworth Invention (Broadway); The 39 Steps (Off-Broadway, New World Stages); Greater Clements  (Lincoln Center); Happy Birthday, Wanda June (Wheelhouse, Lucille Lortel Award nomination, outstanding revival);The Merchant of Venice (TFANA, opposite F. Murray Abraham); Much Ado About Nothing (TFANA). Regional Theatre includes: Williamstown Theatre Festival, McCarter Theatre, Denver Center, Barrington Stage, Hartford Stage, Long Wharf, Westport Country Playhouse, Dorset Theatre Festival, Contemporary American Theatre Festival. Kate’s film and television work includes: “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret” opposite Rachel McAdams; “The Magnificent Meyersons”; “The First Lady” (Showtime); “TURN: Washington’s Spies” (AMC); “FBI” (NBC) “Madam Secretary”(CBS);” Law and Order: SVU” (NBC); “The Knick” (Cinemax); “Chicago Justice” (NBC). Kate has a BA from Wesleyan University, an MFA from NYU Graduate Acting, and spent a semester in Moscow with the NTI/MXAT Moscow Art Theater program. As a writer, she has had short plays produced with aMios “Shotz” and is sometimes a member of the women and non-binary writer’s group Más Páginas, led by playwright and television writer Christina Pumariega.
