Nicholas Ranauro (he/they) is a New York City-based director, dancer, dance educator, and choreographer. He is a 2014 graduate of The Juilliard School. Creative credits include Curious George; The Golden Meatball (director/choreographer), Broadway in Chicago’s Children of Eden (choreographer), and Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus (choreographer). Commissions, residencies, and showcases include Dance Lab NY, Dancebreak, the Steps on Broadway Conservatory, Houston Contemporary, and the 92nd Street Y.

Performance credits include Black No More; a New Musical (Chor. Bill T. Jones), The Phantom of the Opera (25th Anniversary Tour), Brigadoon (Encores! Dir/Chor. Christopher Wheeldon), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Tour, Dir/Chor. Andy Blankenbuehler), iLuminate (Malaysia Residency), Keigwin & Company, Elf The Musical (Tour), and Seeing You (Immersive, Dir/Chor. Ryan Heffington).

Teaching credits include Indiana University MT (spring 2023), The Joffrey Ballet School, and NY Community Ballet. Nicholas received their formal training from Walnut Hill School, the Boston Ballet School Trainee Program, and The Juilliard School with summers spent at Jacobs Pillow, The Joffrey Ballet School, Perry Mansfield, Boston Ballet, and Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio in Los Angeles. As a result of two meniscus tears, Nicholas is a functional movement expert with certifications in both Pilates and GYROTONIC®.
